Airborne Bob,

It is possible you may already be aware of the following link (cut and paste) but I find this very helpful.

http://stampforgeries.com/forged-st...n-and-taxis/

If you click on the various photos you will see notes about the originals and forgeries of each. In your case the (1 sgr) see how your stamps matches up against the 8 points noted on the original entries. With just the scan available, I think your stamp aligns favorably with these 8 points but I would want the original in hand to see and others may see something I don't and it may be something obvious. The forgery they show is a very clear forgery and easy to see the differences. They also provide a list of forged cancels (which are similar to yours but have different numbers). I am not very experienced on paper varieties/differences so if you are concerned about this others will need to help in that area. Obviously other sites/reference may provide more accurate or precise data but this site has been helpful to me in the past to get a good gauge. I am not saying yours "is" or "is not" a forgery/fake/reprint but this website can be used to help make a determination.

Hope this helps
Hobsun

Your stamp looks good ,if the four ring cancel reads 270 then it is from Coburg . Should it be Scott #5 not #4 .
