I have seen several specialized Freddy and Saint John postcard books and wonder if anyone here has read them?

If so do you know if any of the old postcards had any banks featured on them? Specifically the Maritime Bank of the Dominion of Canada (or any bank really).

Thank you.

Thank you Misses Earl. This upcoming Thursday is the Florenceville collector club and I plan on bringing a postcard from the Maritime Bank of the Dominion of Canada Fredericton that was sent to the Maritime Bank of the Dominion of Canada Woodstock.

At $10 I think I over paid (seen some on ebay form a few years ago go for $2) but it is one of those things where it is not worth anything but try finding another one.

Lots of early Saint John covers and postcards around and I know of a massive collection of them held by a Montreal-based collector who specializes in advertising covers of early Saint John-based businesses. Prices are rising for them though. Along with Dianne, I'll watch for them.

Thank you too NBSTAMPER. The coin/stamp club was cancelled so no leads this way.
Are red rose tea items going up in price? I collect for the fun of it but it would be nice to see my rr cheques, cards and figures go up in price too.

Rothesay is buy Quispamsis, right? A guy named "Tom" deals every year at the annual Woodstock and Florencville shows. You ever come down yourself?

Rothesay is between Saint John and Quispamsis although all three communities sort of run together. Where are you, harmonica?

I could walk to the Connell house right now if I wanted too. I live right in the middle of Woodstock.

Any leads NBSTAMPER?
I gave the presentation at the club and the club's president's sister owns the old bank building. It is N.B.'s oldest pharmacy and still has the vault in the basement. I may have to try to get down there to snap some pictures.
I picked up some Red Rose cheques and covers. I still have yet to find a good Tiger Tea.

Those are neat jimjung! I like how they are made outto the same place yet one envelope has a stamped return to while the other is printed right on it. Those little differences really make me happy in a collection.

Are there any cover books on the market? (Am I using the term "cover" right?)

Harmonica, Canada Post sells the 1st day cover book from Lighthouse. I have used them for a long time. A good way to preserve valuable covers.

Hey Gilles Le timbre, are you the initials "DJ" from Ottawa trying to get a hold of me?
The president of my coin club got an email from a bloke from Ottawa looking for a "harmonica" from Woodstock to talk stamps.
If it was you he will call me back tomorrow with your email address and I will send you off a PM>

Sorry guys, I got a hold of him.
On a semi-related note I picked up some more cheques with revenue stamps and an envelope from the Bank of New Brunswick. I will have to get a scanner here soon.
