Terry Cox's online catalog of railroad stock certificates now has a (new and much smaller)companion database for coal company certificates. Worth taking a look - http://coxrail.com.

That's intriguing! Not many people realize Terry's had a long career as a geologist. I suppose it was just a matter of time before that interest intersected with scripophily. Here's a more specific link to the webpage -- http://www.coxrail.com/coal-background.asp.

I submitted three items for Terry's new coal company database. Figured I'd also post them here for all to see. Two of these are specimen certificates, one (Texas Pacific) from the archives of the American Bank Note Co.
