I was looking at a stamp a short time ago that I am interested in and noticed that the ink was clearly visible on the back. The stamp is in other wise great condition.
The bleed through is quite significant. There are about 8 different lines that have bled through to the back.
My question, of course, is what affect does this have on the value of the stamp?
Hi warriorpoet62. It all depends what stamp it is. You did not mention if it is used or mint, old or new etc etc. If you could post a picture it would help. Also, most stamps do not bleed through but if it is an older stamp sometimes the ink at the printers was not dry yet and left an impression on the next sheet on the stack. Does it affect value? Here again, it all depend. Give us some more info please
