Here's a cover addressed to Mrs. (Frances) Cleveland, first lady of the 22nd and 24th President of the U.S.A. This letter was mailed near the end of Grover Cleveland's 1st term, after he had won his second popular election as President. Problem was, he didn't win the votes in the Electoral College. So, although Cleveland won the popular vote in 3 consecutive presidential elections, he only served as President for 2 non-consecutive terms.
No enclosures in this cover unfortunately. Otherwise though, I wouldn't have found it in the "cheapie" cover box.
I just noticed that the clerks at the Washington, D.C. post office 2 were "asleep at the wheel". They hadn't changed the year date to 1889.
