I collect worldwide. My albums of choice are Minkus Regional (specialty) pages. These are one sided pages with "Spaces for every major number variety". I have about 90% of the world covered with Minkus Regional pages, currently (70) 4" binders. For the other 10% of the world I use Minkus Supreme Global pages . I scan these and "convert" them from two sided to one sided pages to match the one sided regional pages. They both use the same borders so they maintain consistency in appearance.

However, the Supreme Global do not have the same coverage especially in the earlier issues. I remedy this by creating my own pages for the first years. I am constantly searching ebay and auctions to find the remaining Regional Albums I don't have. The most bothersome vacancy is French Colonies.
Minkus broke down French colonies into two sets of albums. French Colonies for pre-independence, and French Community for post-independence. I have the French Community, but have been unable to track down the French Colonies. I've seen them several times in auctions, but in all cases, they were nicely filled with stamps and far exceeded by budget.

I am hoping that some StampCommunity member has the French Colonies Regional albums and would be willing to send me a couple scans of selected countries.

The current project is Benin/Dahomey, The Minkus catalog recognizes 47 different Benin stamps, while the Supreme Global page only has ten spaces. The missing French Colonies regional page would have all 47 stamps.

Are there any Minkus fans out there who might be able to help? Any other Minkus collectors interested in forming a StampCommunity Minkus support thread?

Another option to think about if you can find the pages you want...you could always get Steiner pages, which would have all the stamps that you want, and print them on blank Minkus pages.

Just a thought.

If you check out this free site below, you will see Benin and Dahomey pages under French Colonies. You might be able to adapt these to what you want.

I like the Minkus albums, I have the Global Master and a Hungary "specialty" album, as well as a set of 1971 Minkus WW catalogs. I would like to find a decent Minkus Supreme, my Master is a two volume 1951 edition and a hodge podge of Minkus pages from the mid to late 50's that are cobbled together from supplements.

Thanks for responses. All good approaches. Holding out hope for Holly Grail of a set of the Minkus French Colonies pages.

MOC and Palo produce (expensive) pages for French Colonies. Or you can find all of the pages for nothing here

I was looking at the listings on the Amos Advantage site, and didn't remember that they now have some of the Minkus album pages "available on demand." I wonder whether they intend to reprint the French Colonies pages (or France for that matter) on demand at some point in the future?

I have a bad feeling they (AMOS) aren't putting much effort into the Minkus line. I got very excited when I saw the French Community pages go up last year. Last week I went to order a set of the Belgium Minkus specialty pages which are shown as available on demand on the AMOS web site. They canceled the order saying they are no longer available. Not a good sign at all considering they were "print on demand". They also discontinued the Minkus Global slip cases.
