Ok so I just get for fun a pack of 1500 Machin on ebay, to give a try and Purchase the 473 pages PDF of Adminware I will purchase the Deegam DVD, is that good ? Honestly I don,t like book on DVD. Now is there something else will be good to have ? I also need to decide if I will go with the Complete album with the different GUM or simply the one without image and no gum difference. I'm not the GUM type of guy but since it's a complete new adventure I have no idea with one will be best. I don,t plan to sell this thing later, it will stay in the family Those are use, but knowing me , I will replace them with mint one

Area66, if I had the time I would undoubtedly go for it all the way! I do agree on the book versus DVD issue though, I do prefer a book especially for something as complicated as the Machins. Does it not come in print? Oh, and good luck with your 1500 stamps - let it snow!

I check on ebay for printed version, they are more expensive than the DVD, and it's printed page on a small 4 rings binders. Since the DVD is printable, I may be better to print them myself and put the page in plastic protector back to back in Unitrade 2 post binders I hate rings binders. Stapples as pack of 200 plastic protectors for $ 10 , that make 400 pages. paper and ink cost nothing, I just need plain white paper. |

I think the Intermediate album can be a good choice, honestly booklet position of the Spec. look a little to much. I already paid for the Spec. so it's not a price choice , any tough ? |

Since you already paid for it I don't see any reason to abandon part of this. Keep the pages, you might after a while get familiar enough with these to go all the way!

Machins can prove to be years of enjoyable sorting and arranging.
I love them.

Get the Deegam Machin CD. Any hard copies you find are woefully out of date.

I purchased the Specialized but ended up using the Novice. I just don't have the time at the moment to learn all the printing differences in the specialized. I think the Machin stamps are fascinating and have played around with them for years. But I am happy with the choice that I made. I also chose to print the pages by type rather than denomination. Just because you don't have page after page of stamps of the same color. I like the type layout better. And I printed in black and white. The color looks good but it get confusing to me what stamps I have and what I need. I hope this helps and wish you the best with your collection.
I also have a question. How do you mount the modern self adhesive Machins ? If they are printed in panes how do you get a clean single separate from the other stamps?

Tommy, I will keep them in Stock book for a will the time I decide which album choose. I plan also to use the PDF as digital, and scan the stamp, so I may have a novice or int. printed and a specialized in virtual. I don't see the need in an printed album to have many copy of the same stamp with only booklet position as difference. |

Yes you can end up with page after page of the same stamp but with subtle printing difference. Let me know how you get along with it. |
