Siegelé was head of the Color Service Corporation. It will be interesting to see from which company in Germany this letter was mailed.

I think that the dealer who wrote the description on the tag on this might need some glasses - the perfin seems to be a K in a C, and not in a circle. So the initials of the company would have been either CK or KC. I also bristle a bit when a dealer hypes their wares by writing things like "Scarce" or "Rare" or "Important" etc. on their items. These words have little meaning these days as more and more material is finding its way onto the internet. Also they have little meaning when there is no context of demand - If there are only 100 collectors of an item and there are 150 of those items in the world market place then the scarcity has no meaning since there are actually too many for the demand.

Thanks for the comments KGB and Kimo. I didn't buy this item as a single. It is part of a large group (about 350) of worldwide covers I recently bought at auction. Many were unsuccessful ebay lots so this person was very optimistic.
