Ronv, you have landed in a nice forum, where almost all of us collect because ewe love stamps. Value comes somewhere on the bottom! It is great to see that you make the statement that it is attractive to you! I like it also! I collect the Dutch East Indies, and I have never seen this. Is it an envelope or a card?
I have a suggestion as to put a price on this cover. Try ebay or better yet Delcampe. The latter is more European oriented and you might find this. The Duth Speciale Catalogus does not list stationary.

Ronv, I checked Delcampe and there are quite a few of those listed. But not the 22 1/2 cent.
Most of the ones found are in the 5 to 10 dollar range.

While I don't collect envelopes, however this appears to be for official, government postage (note the "postdienst" in the upper left corner)

Not sure if that helps in identification.

I like the look of it as well. Do you collect Dutch East Indies postal stationery?

I would expect this to be listed in the Higgins and Gage catalog, but I do not have that particular volume that includes the Netherlands Indies. They do have it at the American Philatelic Society Research Library. You can contact them directly and they will photocopy the relevant pages and email them to you for a fee. The fee is much reduced if you are a member of the American Philatelic Society.

Here is a link to a recent ebay auction for the 10 cent variety that has been used. I do not know the relative rarity of the 10 cent denomination compared to the 22 1/2 cent variety, but often used examples of postal stationery go for more than mint ones. Anyway, this one sold for $9.99. Here is the link. http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/DUTCH-NE...AOSwcBhWY-41
