Well, after I inherited several thousands stamps, I decided not to sell them and build a larger collection. So here I am surfing the internet looking here in there and I had a hard time to decide where to stop and buy.
I found this site http://www.sdcollectables.co.uk/ and i`m not 100% I should go for it.
Anyone from here have been bought from them? Its a trusted site.
Except this site can you recommand me any other european kiloware dealer.
Thank you in advance and excuse my english.

If you're just setting off, kiloware probably isn't the best starting-point. You're likely to get extensive duplication and a great deal of material on paper. An alternative is to look out for well-filled albums or groups of albums, whether in ebay or in physical auctions. The latter usually allow you to bid by e-mail or online. These are two GB auction houses that I've bid with for several years

I love kiloware, but I need to agree with the people in front of me. Kiloware is great if:

a. You want to collect postmarks.
b. You like to look for tiny differences in recent (or not so recent, depending on the kilo) definitive series.
c. You enjoy - or at least don't mind - soaking gobs of stamps and going through the assorted hassles that entails.
d. You don't mind having tons of duplicates that you might end up trading very informally on venues like Postcrossing.

I fit enough of those categories to make kiloware worthwhile. If you don't - or if you're still deciding what kind of collector you are - you're better off with albums, like GeoffHa suggested, or other collection/accumulation lots. They aren't that hard to find at auctions and mail-bid sales.

I'd start off in small quantities until you figure out if this is something you really want to do or not. If you buy a full kilo, for example, you could end up with literally hundreds of copies of the same stamp. Buy a smaller sample that's maybe hand picked by the seller to be mostly different. You'll pay more per stamp, but you won't have to wade through as many duplicates. I say this as someone who soaks at least a pound of kiloware a month myself.

I want to thank you for answers and guidance. I am like the man who delights to be surrounded by stamps. When I received the inheritance, I woke up with a bunch of stamps that I think i've reviewed several times with the same pleasure that I made it the first time. I'm not looking to get rich overnight from a bag of stamps, it is just the pleasure to simply be surrounded by stamps. Of course I would love if I find something of value. I'd buy on the website that I mentioned in the first post but I have some reservations. They advertised to be working with various charities and provides only two payment options (PayPal and Skrill) no credit card, no bank transfer. Living in a certain area where people are faster to trick each other than helping, seeing only the two payment methods they offer leads me to think that it is immediately scam. I was curious if there were forum members who have yet buy from that site. I should stop writing, to bore you is the last thing I want.

Dopsen. Kiloware is fun. Two winters ago I did a box of 6 kilos and sorted out the cancels I liked - plus I was looking for a certian variety. Found a few dozen (colour variations). Don't listen to the naysayers. Buy kilo lots and sort to your heart's content.
