Hello. I sel stamps on ebay and noticed that interest for classic british commonwealth lower value stamps is falling down. Anyone noticed that older Commonwealth stamps are falling in the price? I was going really well with it, but in the new year it went down !?
Whats hot now?

I have purchased a couple of Commonwealth lots over the last 3 months, there seemed to be a fair amount of interest in them here in the USA.

The key here is the statement made above ----"The low values", There is a flood on the market right now of "low values" and all the recent MNH sets that are being put out by the various postal organisations .There is no interest to buy this material at anything but 2 or 3 cents apiece . The good complete sets of the early British Colonies still get decent prices at auction.
What is gone are the days when you could go to the major stamp auction firms and buy bulk collections at a price of 1/2 cent to 3 cents per stamp and then list a stock sheet for 8 or 10 cents per stamp on ebay and get it .Now your buying at 3 cents per stamp and getting 4 cents per stamp and loseing the profit for being a reseller on ebay.

If you want to see low prices check out early Great Britain on ebay. Most QV singles sell for less than 10% of Scott, sometimes less than 5%.
