To me a very weird specimen, cut in half diagonally but judging from the stamp used like this. Is it still collectable? Wat happened to the catalog value?

Sometimes these are very much collectible. It is done like this if the post office is out of a stamp and take one of twice the denomination and cut it in half. It is called a bisect and is only valuable if on piece!

So, to give a little more information, leave it as is ... do not soak it off.

My 2012 Scott Catalog states that this is Scott 64a. If it was still on a cover (the ENTIRE cover), then the price would be US $500. Still, a keeper.

Good find!

I actually have several of these on letters dated 1921 but still in one piece. They wouldn't be worth $500 as well right?

Yeah I was thinking more like 10EUR judging from other letters on Delcampe. They make a nice pair though!
