This is something I am just getting into, so I haven't a clue. If the sheet was a smaller sheet I can simply mount them on an album page. But what about larger sheets? What would be an appropriate to mount the stamps on? The sheet I am attempting to re-constuct will be about 10" high and about 15" wide. Suggestions?

I would probably use 11x17 portfolio paper or card stock.

I have the same thing with a sheet of Swiss stamps that I am re-constructing. This sheet is divided into four panes though, so I can mount it on four album pages!
What is the lay-out of your sheet?

Peter

Which stamps are you reconstructing? It's quite a popular activity with 1d reds here. Some ebay examples of sheets below

Geoff - The stamp I am working on is the 1/2r from Cuba (1855-56).
Peter - The layout is 10 rows x 17 columns.

Where would I find acid free paper or card stock that big, when I only need like 1 sheet?

I would look at mount board or card used to for mounting pictures for framing. In the UK this is readily available in single sheets and they are not expensive. Say £4 for a A1 sheet. They are available acid free.

If you wanted to you could frame the whole lot on this card and hang on a wall.

On the other hand if it was mine I would mount these on four separate pages in an album

AQ.
