Good day to all. Recently I found this unusual used stamp searching threw stamp books. I have not seen (Large)Queen Victoria's with vertical perforations like this before. It is a Scott 27,and has no gum. It kind of reminds me of affixing machine perfs like known with US stamps. However, The L Queen Victoria's where issued in 1868-76,small Queens (1870-89) and Ottawa printing from (1888-89) US affixing machine perforations first issued in 1906. Since I have not seen before.Is this common or Scarce with large Queen perforations in this used condition? Any information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
Blazenstar, that stamps was regularly perforated on both sides. It was badly torn upon separation, that is all. No special coil perforations were done for this issue.
Thank you so much for the information..i know it is poor condition,and worthless, but I was wondering what was wrong with the perfs. Never seen it with queens before.I was curious about it. Only attractive for town cancellation.
Thank you for your suggestion and kind welcomes. Recently have been finding many Canadian stamps on my scouting stamp adventures. I picked up these stamps to add to the collection when I decided to get that other stamp..lol.. I look as this manner, got to exercise,find this ugly stamp and replaced with this small lot of stamps the same time..I had fun looking threw the stamp books for an hour.
