This Bob Jones cover is probably my favorite. I won't say much because I think it largely speaks for itself, if you understand the subject of the photo cachet. The Apollo 8 stamp gives a clue as well. This is perhaps the most thought provoking of his covers that I've seen.

Here's another Bob Jones cover I absolutely love. This one is great for several reasons.

At first glance the old newspaper print and the words 'Flying Machine' give the cover this sort of 'Jules Verne' flavor. But if you dig deeper into the article, and the real meaning of the term 'Flying Machine', the cover takes on a whole new meaning full of thoughtfulness.

I'm not sure I should reveal more at this time, just in case someone wants to explore this more for themselves.

And finally, another custom FDC by Bob Jones that celebrates the relationship of 'flight' and mail/philately.

Similar to the first Bob Jones cover I posted, this one celebrates the actual stamp's creation, by featuring a colored photograph of the Paul Calle painting.

On the cover showing the colored Paul Calle painting. I just noticed some subtle differences between the painting and stamp. For instance the composition of the blue & white water/cloud patterns on the surface of the Earth. Obviously the master die for the stamp wasn't a completely perfect reflection of the painting.

How many FD covers have you seen featuring a photo of the stamp's painting?
