Hi all! I am new here and NOT an expert of stamps. I recently acquired some stamps at an auction and this one caught my eye. This is an unused stamp that says:
Kaiserliche Konigliche
Osterreichische Post
10 on each bottom corner (with the number 2 dividing the word Heller. Looks like HEL2LER)
Bottom left says: Koloman Moser
Bottom right looks like: Schornbach

I am looking for any info on this stamp! Year, Exact name, & value. Thanks!

Penny, this stamp's Stanley Gibbons number is 244. The stamp was issued in 1915 by the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. A portion of the stamp's cost went to charity (or the empire's coffers.) The stamp pictures one of the larger artillery pieces used in the First World War.

Pennygezzar, a very welcome to this forum. The two names on the bottom are those of the artist that designed the stamp and the engraver. And what KGB is trying to tell you is that you should not ever handle stamps the way you do. Please use stamp tongs if you plan on collecting stamps - fingers put fingerprints on the gum side of the stamp and collectors frown on that.

Peter

Even though it was a Dual Monarchy, Hungary issued it's
own stamps and so did Austria.
What is written on the stamp Kaiserliche Königliche Österreichische Post translates as
Imperial Royal Austrian Post
nothing there about Hungary.

The charity portion of 2 Heller in this case went
to war widows and orphans.

Koloman Moser was the designer and Ferdinand-Schirnböck
was the engraver.
Even though the stamp was printed via typography,
the die was engraved.
