i noticed that the tagging on some stamps is very bright while others are not; for example scott 715 plates 1 and 2 have very bright tagging stips on the side while plates 3 and 4 do not. all plates are canadian bank note. is there any significance to these two types of tagging ty
In the US, the Post Office specifies that there must be enough taggant on the stamps to be able to be seen by the cancelling equipment. That is why there is such a tremendous difference between printings. I guess the same is true for Canadian stamps?
