Italy issued 20 June 1997, showing a robotic arm and a gear-wheel. I spent 6 years in Italy working with an Italian company making parts for aero-engines, and can confirm that gear and gearbox design, manufacture and overhaul are specialisms of this industrialised country. From North Korea, (hoping that this doesn't result in the web-site being blocked in "certain" countries), issued 2 May 2002, celebrating North Korean science and technology. The only write-up I can find is in the Yearbook - "It is our people's fighting target to build a great prosperous powerful nation in the 21st century. Under the leadership of leader Kim Jong Il, our people launches a vigorous struggle to develop the national economy on the basis of the advanced science and technology in compliance with the demands of a new era when science and technology develop rapidly." (Probably best delivered by a stentorian Korean lady in national dress). |
