Another one from grandfather's collection. Any info about it?
It's a large, colorful stamp; just wondering how common it is.

Thanks!

So, nothing about this stamp that makes it unique? Any pre-1940 Russian stamps that are in high demand?

Thanks to all for your advice.

Paul, stamps issued by the White Army during the Revolution are prized, if my memory serves me correctly.

Actually there are quite a few mid 1920s to late thirties
USSR stamps worth a few bucks.
Partly due to low (some issues) numbers issued for such a large
population and the fact that the average Russians/Ukrainians etc had
more to worry about during those Stalin Terror years
than spending money on stamps compared to surviving another
day and getting some food.

In the years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union
some of the well off Russian middle class turned to
collecting stamps of their country's past which of course
helped increase the value of Czarist Russia & USSR stamps.
Similar to what happened with Peoples China Cultural Revolution
stamps.
