Please - anyone with knowledge on Finland - do you have any further information about these stamps? I understand they are local post for Helsinki, but I have no reference.

I only have my cellphone available, so I hope the image is not too bad. I found these when going through an awesome load of Finnish stamps, so I don't expect them to be rare. But they lightened up my day all the same.

Thanks in advance!

blaamand, you already know what they are. If you google 'hesinki local post' the middle stamp comes up on another forum. I have not found the outside two yet.

Peter

PS I found all three if you do like above ( google ) and click on 'images'. They are sold quite a bit on Delcampe!

The Norma Special catalogue of Finland stamp-s and postal stationery lists these three items under Helsinki local post. There are 10 different numbered stamps here and some #s with varieties (colors and imperforate varieties). There are also some reprints and several postal stationeries.

Stamp on left is Norma #10 from 1891/92 (the last listing). It is not listed in used condition. This almost always means that this stamp did not see service.

Stamp in the middle is either Norma #5Hac, or #6ab from 1875 or 1881. I'm basing this on the colors. If it is perf 12 1/2, then it is #5Hac, and if it is perf 11 1/2, then it is #6ab.

Stamp on right is Norma #8 from 1884. It could either a,b, c, d, e, f, g, or h, depending on the brown and yellow colors.

None of these 3 are rare, but they are very collectible for the Finland specialist.
