Here's another interesting piece I just came across. Can I get your thoughts on this? I ink it's pretty interesting, from a historical perspective but don't know about the stamp itself...

This is not a receipt, but rather a domestic sight draft, that is, payable at sight. Because it is payable at sight, it is taxed at the same rate as a check. Were it payable say at 30 days, in other words, a time draft (combination of a draft and a promissory note) it would not have been subject to the documentary tax which had ceased October 1, 1872 (except on instruments payable at sight). I will let the collectors of the Civil War era material comment further.
