First of all, are these stamps that are stamped on post cards, etc. in Scott's? I can't find it. Any idea of a year on this one? Also, what does the first word in the over print mean in English? Thanks, Jim

Yellow_cad, this appears to be Michel #P114 (postal card), which was issued on Oct. 16, 1919. Minimal value.

Cancellation is Ludwigshafen, April 13, 1920 3-4pm.

Hi, this is a postal card. It's not listed in Scott's. I can't make out the last number of the year, but it's in the 1920's range. April 13th, 192? Freistaat = Free State.

Looks like 1926. I read 13-4-26 2-5M. Ludwigshafen am Rhein.

Peter, it's hard to tell. Would this card have been allowed as late as 1926 though?

Nice bit of postal stationery, yellow_cad.

A world of its own, really.

You can get a sense of the breadth of that world at:

Cheers,
