I'm slowly getting into saving Plate Blocks, and was given an older HE Harris Plate Block Album Vol 1. Looks to be part of a 2 album set (Vol 1 and Vol 2). Volume 1 is for all Commemorative's from 1932-1970. Volume 2 was for Regular Issue Plate Blocks from 1918, and early Commemorative's 1901-1931. Like I said, I only have Volume 1.

I know that the new version of these Harris Plate Block albums are Volumes A, B, and C.

I doubt these older albums contain "acid-free" pages. The copyright date is 1971. The pages are yellowing, but they are far from even being considered brittle. Very heavy stock, solid pages. My question is, if using the Scott Mounts to mount the Plate Blocks, would I need to be concerned about the pages and or the binder? ie...will the mounts protect the stamps sufficiently?

Scotts Mounts should do the trick. They keep the stamp separated from the page paper. In and of themselves, Scotts Mounts should not be a problem.
