Bob,

I am very happy that you were able to publish your article on the Metcalf - Hunt Correspondence. How wonderful that your family saved that impressive file of correspondence for the past hundred fifty years and more! That is just marvelous. This is the type of stuff that school kids should be exposed to by their families to kindle first hand interest in local history, family history, and yes in this instance, your contribution to philately which drew many members of this philatelic forum to appreciate your contribution to philatelic history.

Bob, I just today found your months old email to me, amongst a backlog of 2850 emails which I am working thru. I had some cancer nine years ago, and every thing seemed fine with it until last fall when it decided to revisit me. So, I have been rather 'occupied', and now it seems that with my super doctors and the resources of Rhode Island Hospital and Meriam Hospital (WONDERFUL Hospitals!) well, we think we have won the battle this time. I expect to be reading your articles for another 77 years. HA!

Very good read. Any thoughts about presenting these covers as a one page exhibit in Richard Farjola's "PhilaMercury Digital Rendezvous 2017"? See http://www.rfrajola.com/pdr2017/pdr2017.htm for details.

This is the second year for the PDR. First time exhibitors especially wanted.

Thank you Rhett.

hoosierboy, Wow, what a nice thought to exhibit on PhilaMercury.
Call me crazy, but until reading your post today, I have never given an exhibit a thought. I do not think that I would have enough time to give it what it deserves. Awesome thought! Stay tuned.

Hoxie454,

It was so nice to see your post today. I have sent you more than one email, my latest three weeks ago informing you of the article. Very happy that you have won your latest battle. I am also a cancer survivor. I still find it amazing that you worked with my father at
"Rhode Island Hospital Trust".

Walt Disney had it right when he stated, "It's a Small World After All".
