I purchased this recently.

It met my goals-

1.10x magification

2. Illuminated -no need for ambient light, extremely bright. The plastic cone keeps the contains the light

3. sharp and good viewing area - the image through the sight does not do it justice in terms of sharpness or field of view (about 20mm or 0.75-in.)

4. hands free - rests level on surface

5. Reasonably well made - all plastic design

6. Affordable - list is under $25

... includes both white & 390-400nm UV sources.

Joe Bob says 'check it out'.

Cheers,

I have one too. I've had it about 2 yrs. Never needed to replace batteries. Quite nice.

Are those batteries readily available? I don't think I've seen those at my local Wal-Mart?
