I agree, the "reconditioned" phrase is uncommon, although Columbus, Ohio printed self adhesive labels for their damaged mail.

Very interesting. I have received several rubber stamped apologies on damaged mail over the years, but I've never gotten one of these 'cheeky' reconditioned messages.

As far as the Columbus, Ohio label goes...if they reconditioned, or repaired that piece of mail, I just can't see what they did.
