No, not just a "bleed"!

Remember this is a GIORI printing! It means that there is only ONE plate for the recess printing. The application of ink will be done by separate cylinders in which the more or less accurate outline of where which colour is supposed to be!

It would be just a easy to find the red colour underneath de "8c" or in the "R"!

I believe both gentlemen are correct. This is a very common happening on the Giori press, and also on the Cottrell press. It is by no means an error, just sloppy printing which is not surprising if you consider the enormous quantity of stamps printed.

The Cottrell Presses 801,802,803,804&805 were single colour
presses I believe therefore I can't see how this applies to here.

I am sorry. I meant to say what the BEP calls the B Press. That is also a Giori. Senior moment!
