Hi all you Ireland collectors.

Can someone give me a current cat value for this stamp?
My old Scott cat from 2003 has it listed as $6.00 in used.
Just wanting to see if that was a typo or something.

Thanks,

Dave N.

In the 2009 Scott catalog, the used stamp is priced at $9.00.

It is not a typo. A lot of the early Ireland stamps (especially the high denominations) have been exceptionally high in the past 5 years. It's starting to cool off, though. Collectors are starting to realize what dealers have long known -- supply exceeds demand.

I should note that many of the high MNH catalog prices for early Ireland ARE justified if you insist on NH stamps. Many mint stamps of that period in collections are often hinged. Those who kept an accumulation/stockpile of those MNH stamps have had a windfall in the past decade!

Its true about supply vs. demand..i have those old sets and sell them for 1/3 catalog if I can find buyers..either everyone has them or they do not buy the better sets !!
