Occasionally I will be following or participating in a topic and then it will disappear. I assume this happens because the administrator feels the topic is inappropriate or is breaking the rules. Is there a way to see a list of topics that have been removed?

Is it possible the topic was moved? That happens five or ten times a week, I suspect. (Maybe more.) |

I had a thread I started in December go missing for five months. I stated on other threads that I thought that it was removed by the monitors, because I added a link to a Stevie Wonder video on youTube. I honestly understood why it could have been removed.
What I just noticed last week was that it was moved to The General Philatelic Section. That section of SCF is Opt in only. I opted in last week and found my long lost thread. This topic may get moved there also. My thread was called "A Tribute to Those of you that Teach from those of us that Learn." Stevie Wonders "Higher Ground". |

The Topic was entitled something like "What price would you put on this stamp" and the example was a Sc #24 and it was in the Classic US Forum. On his 2nd post to SCF he posted a link to his ebay site. Clearly this was a violation of the SCF rules but the discussion went on until Don pointed out that many of the stamps for sale on his ebay site were mis-identified and some one else pointed out that his stamps were astronomically over priced. I was going to add my 2c but I couldn't find the topic anywhere. I did notice that the OP's link to his ebay was removed and replaced with the "follow the rules" admonishment before the topic went missing. |

I did read that thread and noticed that the OP only had a few posts, but included their ebay link. I also saw some responses to it. So many topics I did not notice that it was gone. I read somewhere that the OP can remove his/her own topic. |

I thought of that, the discussion was not going in the OPs favor. I've tried to delete this topic and I can't find a way to do it. |

I could be wrong, Somehow I think there is a 24 hour limit to your ability to delete a topic.

I think I posted to your thread sinclair2010 and am wondering that too. It would be nice if the moderators would at least leave an explanation of what rule was violated when they do that! It's kind of hard to learn from your mistakes otherwise. |

Winston, It apparently was my fault, I sent you an email explaining. Sorry, Don |

Huh?
I could understand the removal of the ethically challenged Jewelry guys topic but Winston's post was fine.
Don I've tried everything and I can't get to the "Support and Testing (deleted posts) you showed in your screen grab. |

I sent a message to admin inquiring why the thread was deleted. No response... Amazing that the moderator(s) can unceremoniously delete a thread and not even bother to explain why. |

People, just because you don't understand the reason a topic is removed, doesn't mean it's not justified.
Also sometimes explaining why a topic is removed defeats the entire purpose of having a subject not being allowed.
Sinclair, never got a note from you. |
