Scott is not helpful on this issue. I have only a few stamps for this country, but I find that Scott 82 from 1923 (50 cent) is shown as having watermark 140, the upright crown. One of my examples is upright, the other is upside down.
Likewise, Scott 519 from 1962 is listed with watermark 337, Triskelion, pointing to the left (when viewed from behind). In my examples, one is pointing to the left, the other to the right.

I am going to make the assumption that it is equally likely for the watermarks to be in either direction due to the printing techniques at the time. Does anyone have a better catalog to support this theory? Thanks.
