Castle de Manzanares is a palace-fortress erected in the 15th century in the town of Manzanares el Real (Community of Madrid, Spain), at the foot of Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range....... The castle now houses a museum of Spanish castles and hosts a collection of tapestries.

Castle de Belmonte is a medieval castle on the hill of San Cristobal, just outside the village of Belmonte in the province of Cuenca. It was built in the second half of the 15th century.

Castillo de Maqueda is located on the outskirts of the town of Maqueda. Originally of Moorish design, the castle was rebuilt and expanded during the 15th century.
Castillo de La Calahorra is located in La Calahorra, in the province of Granada, Spain. It is situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Built between 1509 and 1512, it is one of the first Italian Renaissance castles built outside Italy.

Valdemar Castle is a small palace situated on the island of Tåsinge near Svendborg in southern Denmark. It was commissioned by King Christian IV (1588–1648) and built between 1639 and 1644 by his architect Hans van Stenwinkel. Valdemars Slot has been open to the public since 1974.

Stará Lubovna is a town with approximately 16,000 inhabitants in northeastern Slovakia. The castle of Lubovna dominates the town from a hilltop. The castle is open to the public and houses a museum about its history.

Örebro Castle is a medieval castle fortification in Örebro, Närke, Sweden. It was expanded during the reign of the royal family Vasa (House of Vasa) and finally rebuilt about 1900. The castle lies on an island in river Svartån.

Frederick C. Robie House is in the South Side neighborhood of Hyde Park in Chicago. Built between 1909 and 1910, the building was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and is renowned as the greatest example of the Prairie School style, the first architectural style considered uniquely American.

Ancient Castles

Turku Castle is the largest surviving medieval building in Finland. It was founded in the late 13th century and stands on the banks of the Aura River.
Raseborg Castle is a medieval castle built over time from the 14th to the 16th century. Battles were fought between Swedish and Danish forces over control of the castle in the Middle Ages.
Olavinlinna is a 15th-century three-tower castle located in Savonlinna. It ss built on an island in the Kyrönsalmi strait that connects the lakes Haukivesi and Pihlajavesi.
