I am sure this confusing issue already discussed many times.
I am talking about colors for 3 stamps: 956a, 956b and A956.
Michel's color description is just ironic:

956a: (dark) carmine-red to red-carmine
956b: brown-red
A956: carmine-brown (shades)

After researching catalogue and looking at images of many ebay lots I still cannot figure it out.
I have image where I can see 3 distinguishable colors. There is remote possibility that they represent numbers 956a, 956b and A956 (from left to right). Any opinions? Thanks.

igopp,

I found an auctionhouse selling the three varieties, so hopefully their scans are consistent in color across scans. The 956a is slightly off color due to the yellowing paper, but it's close.

Looking at yours, I'd say you definitely have multiple 956a's, and at least one A956 (upper right). I actually think the bottom right may be the 956b, and the middle column might be washed-out 956a's.
