Thank you Bamra1 for all the detail. I have a green Confederate soldier (a single), and I was wondering if there is a catalogue number anywhere for it. Based on what was written above, it seems that you have identified it with the number [2359]. Does anybody know if there is an actual number assigned to it?

so what was the conclusion of this topic, I have some of the stamps but the blue version might that help?

One thing I find odd is that on Ringo's post of the American Civil War soldier is that the inscription on the side of the stamp is in French.

Standard practice on stamps from many Arab countries - see older Egyptian stamps, for example.

Thanks for the welcome - I did check the last posting - There is a Michel's catalog number for a USA soldier not a US Confederate uniform which was an anomaly on the sheets. I am still looking for the Michel catalog number for the yellow miniature confederate soldier.

The Mi 2303 is pictured above I am looking for THe MI code for the confederate soldier listed below

Bamra1 - aprevious poster on this subject details this extensively - unfortunately - he does not list the MIchel code for the confederate soldier.
