Heh. I completely missed this thread before this morning, so I have no idea what's been deleted. At any rate, he apparently listed them on
ebay the day before yesterday. I saw the listing, made an offer, and it was accepted, so they're on their way to me. Very nice items, especially as a matched pair, which you never see.
These are hard to pin down value-wise, as sale prices are all over the map. They appeal to more than just revenue collectors, so there's usually pretty strong bidding when these show up at auction.
When they get here, I'll post higher quality scans, along with examples of other improper usage "matched sets" I've acquired over the years.
