Good BeeSee...There are lots of software I use that Windows people could use for stamp collecting like the one below..Glad you are using GIMP again.

I dug out a couple more old catalogues I have and the PEI 11 x 11-3/4 is listed as 5ii in the 2000 Unitrade and 5f in the 1961 Lyman's. Remember Lyman's?

I was going thru my PEI 5 stamps and had considered the vertical perfs on them compound 11 1/2 - 12. Perf 12 horizontal. Reading this thread I now wonder if the perf gauge I am using should be changed to one of the more specialized ones that would measure increments less than 1/2. Measuring the vertical perfs in this fashion yields inaccurate results?

Received a Clearvue Gauge in the mail today. Thought 11 3/4 might be the actual perf. Doesn't seem to be.

I double checked using the new gauge and I must agree with you. I'm going to retire my metal gauge and replace it with the Clearvue.

I ended up with 4 half sheets and this quarter sheet. They are the most common variety.
