Here is the second one of these tonight. I have 15 Ras al kaima stamps. This is a place which joined the United Arab Emirates in 1971. Scotts lists stamps for this nation before 1972. The Scotts catalog only lists stamps from 1964 - but I have some from 1968 and 1972. They are not under United Arab emirates - where would they be?
Scott does not list most of the stamps from Ras al Khaima from the 1960s-1970s. Scott used to provide a partial abbreviate listing of these stamps without assigning catalog numbers, in a section at the back of the catalog called "For the Record". Scott regrettably removed this section in the 1990s. Some of the listings in the FTR section were transferred directly to a few of the countries. But most, including Ras al Khaima, Aden, Fujiera, Yemen... (just to name a few) were completely removed.
Stanley Gibbons has much better coverage of these stamps.
I wanted to clarify my earlier post. I probably should not have included Yemen in the list. Scott has moved some of the former For The Record listings for Yemen into that country listing, but still no catalog numbers assigned.
