Been collecting U.S. all my life. Pretty much just keeping up with new issues now. Can't afford the classics. Branched into Canada recently. That was fun starting a new collection and a new album. I have a world-wide collection, but it's pretty random. What I'd like is to start an album devoted to English stamps. Is there such an album, like the Harris album I bought for Canada? Where would be a good source to get a nice starter batch of stamps? I have maybe a couple of pages of random British stamps in my world album, but I'd like to expand that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I would move to England. The stamps are easier to get here! Ha!

Besides going to England, a good source would be the APS circuits.

Collecting only English stamps would be terribly restrictive as most of the stamps previously issued were for GB as a whole. There are English country definitives such as these...

Unfortunately all other GB stamps were issued and used in Scotland ,Wales and Northern Ireland (Isle of Man and The Channel Islands have their own postal systems) so, as I said, you are restricting yourself to a small modern collection of English only stamps.

Ah yes. My mistake. I did mean to say Great Britain. Sorry for the error. After looking around on the web, I realized what I said initially was incorrect. Would that cover specials/commemoratives released by Royal Mail?

DaveG28, I can not answer your question directly, but if you check http://stampworld.com and go to Great Britain you find the complete catalog right there.
