... who gets into the minds of innocent mailers and makes them use scissors to separate stamps.

Well, the innocent mailers bought and paid for the stamps and probably all they care about is getting their letters mailed off as conveniently as possible, so if they decide that cutting the stamps apart is the easiest thing to do, that's their right. What is it about stamp collectors that makes them think that ordinary folks would give a crap about they might like or need.

Weren't perforations invented in order to replace scissor and knife cutting of stamps?

Try not thinking as a stamp collector for a minute.

Separate a few stamps from a sheet using just one hand (amputee). Having fun? Now you can use scissors.

Crazy glue all your fingers together (arthritic). Repeat the above exercise. Still having fun?

"Bicchin" about nixies simply doing their job is one thing...

And can we take the sharpies away from the post offices? It's just as easy to pick up a rubber stamp.

Welcome wulfslaed.

This thread is just a "tangent" to the original. You should post your image over in the Marker Monkey thread:

Nells, by any chance could those be bought from a machine? That is the second or third one you show and they are all from the same country. Same sender also?
