What is the best way to describe the ink around the 19 in "1924" on this stamp?

Looks like a bit of dirt got on the plate during printing. These Empire Exhibition stamps are lovely.

They are nice. I think I was lucky to find it with these others in an album I purchased.

For me, the "Seahorses" issues are the most iconic of all British stamps. They just look so good!

Agreed, I'm still very new to these stamps and I knew right away that they were special.
Do you mind if I ask you if you know what this is? It was on the same page as some 1900-1910 Great Britain stamps.

It's a postage registration label, most likely from the village of Six-Fours on the Côte d'Azur in southern France. Does it have gum on the back?

I'll leave the date of issue and exact ID to an expert.

It has some gum, looks like it was attached to a previous album before the hinge or perhaps to a letter/package.

Can you repost the scan of the registration label in World Back Of The Book, as a new thread? You're bound to catch someone's eye. They may not be noticing under this thread title. You hopefully will get some good ID.

Thanks for the suggestion Tim H, I did repost but picked a different forum. I requested that it be moved to World Back of the Book.
