MEPSI is the major society for Mexico collectors in the US. For the past several weeks I am unable to pull up their website. Ditto for 'Mexi-mail' their forum.
Anyone belong to this and if so is there an issue with the site?

Comes up for me. Have you rebooted your computer lately?
I get a 404 error for MexiMail, but then I am not a registered user. I see there have been post to MexiMail as recently as 29Jun at 3:10 PM |

I, too, cannot log in to MEPSI. I also tried logging in through Facebook but no luck. Address cannot be found on my Mac. I cleaned out cache, cookies history everything. No go. When I have these troubles I am told my Mac is vintage. Seven years old. New macbook pro when they are released very soon. |

Could be DNS caching, ISP blocking, or some such PITA.
FYI, I can access MEPSI.org just fine. |

Came-up in my Chrome which, unlike my Opera, does not allow me to configure server time-outs. Cheers, |

I also have no problem accessing the MEPSI site -- most recently a minute or two ago. I was using Chrome.
Same goes for MexiMail. I've been logged in there for quite a while, and have had no problem following new posts (there are not many), but it's always been "live" when I checked on activity.

I feel your pain!
Were you looking for something specific or just browsing? If specific, perhaps I can help directly and off-line.

This site can't be reached
mepsi.org's server DNS address could not be found.
This is the message I get every time I have tried to connect over the past few weeks. I have sent an email to one of the society's officers who says he has no problem connecting.
Good for him... |

I just got to the MEPSI site quickly using both Chrome and Safari (entered mepsi.org in search line ; then clicked on the first item which was/is mepsi ). Stamps1962: what browser are you using? What sort of computer (I'm on an iMac desktop bought in Feb., 2014) |

After clearing everything and running ccleaner I still could not access site. Then I shut down & restarted the computer. Still no go but then a couple to a few hours later I now have been able to access http://mepsi.org |

Still a no go for me, still the 'This Site Can't be Reached' message. I reported again to the person at MEPSI who is designated as responsible for website issues. He'd been suggesting it was something I was doing wrong. No word and I doubt I will hear for awhile with this being a holiday weekend.
Is it possible for a server to have issues responding to input from selective areas? It just seems very strange some of you are able to get right in.
PS- am using both a laptop with WIN 10 and a desktop with WIN 7, Chrome on both. |

The MEPSI site seems to be quite slow, I have gotten a couple of timeouts (where the page/site comes up 'This Site Can't be Reached'). You mention that you are using Chrome. Chrome is one of the few browsers which does not allow users to configure the browser timeout period. Try a different browser (like Firefox or Internet Explorer) and it will probably work. Don |
