I'm relatively new to collecting GB so please bear with me.
I am using a Scott Specially Series album. As I understand it, the Smiler Sheets basically have a "real" postage stamp, usually the same stamp over, and over, along with a photo, drawing, caption next to the stamp and this attached photo, drawing, caption is the actual "Smiler" and is not a real stamp.
They are listed as "Label Sheets" in SG Concise catalogue and given sheet numbers such as LS22. They are listed in Stoneham GB catalogue as "Smilers Sheets" or, "Generic Smilers Sheets", and given numbers as GSS24. I do not see them listed in Scott, at all.
Some have a "real" stamp in several different designs on the same sheet. Scott seems to give each one a number, like the Harry Potter "Coats of Arms", and shows them in the album as a set of stamps with a Smiler attached.
OK, if I am correct on the above basic information then my album should have a spot for every Smiler stamp.
On e-Bay I came across a half "Smiler Sheet" for sale (for reference it is Stoneham GSS13 and SG LS11. There are 10 "real" stamps on this sheet and not one of them is in my Scott album.
It could be as simple as Scott made an error, but this sheet came out in 2003, or my reason for writing this - I'm missing something here.
Anyone????
