Try Yugoslavia, issues of 1946. It is a port stamp, or a postage due.

More specifically, it's from Istria, or Slovene Coast; in what eventually became Trieste, Zone B, for a few years. Something that could throw people "off the track" is that the inscription, 'Slovensko,' is also Slovak for Slovakia.

I must say, as a fan of a glass of port in the winter time (next to a fire with my trusty dog by my side) I love how this stamp reads 'porto' and pictures a bunch of grapes.

edit - and yes, I know porto means postage due. Just saying I think it's a nice coincidence.

Renden, you could google "Istria stamps" and the first post shows you what is meant by "Istria". That same post will show a similar stamp as the one above - from the same set of postage dues.

For educational purposes only:

timbres d'Istrie

As you can see I come from Serbia. I love history and I know a lot about Istria, as well as geopolitics of the area. My family members played active role in the goings on of the 20th century, regarding that area.
I was only uncleart as to who issued the stamp and where.

Best regards

In reference to a good port. Istria is not a best place for this drink.
If in vicinty, I would recomend other white wine varieties.

It is not clear from the scan what is the value of the surcharge; it should be one of the Scott v. 6/Yugoslavia/Issues for Istria and the Slovene Coast (Zone B)/Postage Due stamps J14-J16
