What's up with this? Why would you trim the perfs off the left side and add them on the right? Makes no sense.

Being sold on ebay right now.

There were never any perfs on the left, although the margin has been badly trimmed. They were trimmed off the bottom, however. Based on the serial number this stamp would have been third in the pane of four. Both were probably done to allow the stamp to fit the document. The perfs on the top and right are probably good, the reds and greens are generally on a thick soft paper and are not at all the best looking perfs ever created.

I beg to differ. The left side is always perfed between the stamp and the stub and the right side is always straight edge.

That's embarrassing. My mind must have been lost in space someplace on some reverse world.

I'm confused. So the perfs were added to the right?

Your mind was in the gutter? (I know, not really a gutter, but I couldn't resist.)

Yes, somebody trimmed the perfs off the left side and added perfs to the right side.

Not sure what the whole purpose of that was.

The usual perfs for these stamps are Kiusalas gauge 12-67=11.75 per 2 cm from a Rosback stroke perforator (such as for the top horizontal side). However, someone added perforations to the vertical right side straight edge with a Rosback Pony rotary perforator of Kiusalas gauge 12.5-63=12.50 per 2 cm.

"Your mind was in the gutter"?

It frequently is, but in this case it was just Long Ago in Another Galaxy Far, Far Away...........

Imitation Flash Gordon and Cecil B. DeMille is not my style. Even my interest in real Cecil B. DeMille is limited.

Well, well, well! It is being offered by gnmexstmps on ebay, the person who has been offering a lot of doctored revenues. One and the same person who has blocked me (as reported on another thread).

Just so others on this forum can be warned and protected from this guy, why not post the information including the actual sale on here?
