Hi, welcome to the forum, unfortunately these stamps are very common and have only minimal value. But you can keep them and you never know , one day you may want to complete .

What a nice, general, world-wide collection. And the stamps look as though they have been treated well. Nothing of great value stood out for me, but I only glanced through each page. I saw one or two stamps for which I would pay a dollar. In general terms, I think you could multiply the number of stamps by twenty cents and get a fair value for the lot. Keep in mind that someone who is looking for a particular stamp might be willing to pay more, but I saw nothing here that can't be found easily enough on ebay. (The exception being the Vietnamese stamps perhaps.)

I don't recall the Ho Chi Minh stamps - what are they?

Geoff, I don't remember ever seeing them either. I assume they are Vietnamese. (I guess I should find out.)

I think that $.20 per stamp would be a fair value for them.

Found something, though I can't attest to its veracity. I saw that the stamps are actually "[p]ublicity label[s] issued by the Viet Minh in 1954 to raise funds to pay for their stay in Geneva during peace talks." http://www.stampboards.com/viewtopi...7787#p353507

$.20 per stamp at 1,000 stamps would be $200. That is too high a number.

Items like that often go on ebay for only a few pounds. Often less than a penny a stamp. Why not keep them? They take up very little space.

When you have some spare time, sort through them using an online catalogue, and maybe you'll start adding to your favourite country or theme...
