Let me know if this is the wrong place for this post -
I've finally started working my way through the collection my Dad left me and I found this little gem. It's "COMMEMORATING THE OPENING OF CORSICANA, TEXAS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT" and is signed by both the Postmaster and the Mayor. I'm not interested in selling it - I just thought it was pretty cool.

Many towns noted the inauguration of airports or airfields in the 1920s and 1930s with covers like this. They are listed in the American Airmail Catalog. This one is listed at $2 in the 6th edition from 1998, basically minimum value. Apparently 3,000 were created. So not valuable but it's an interesting area and interesting for local history.
