Pshaan, sorry to say, all on the first page are forgeries. If it's any consolation, that's not unexpected for these issues.
The lion overprints (it is a lion) were a control mark applied after the basic typeset stamps were printed by a private local company. But tons of unoverprinted sheets and printer's waste got out for (philatelic) fakers to use. So stamps on brownish paper (325, 326, 327, etc.) and brilliant white surfaced paper (318, 319, etc.) are immediately identifiable as forgeries.
Lion overprints that are printed are forgeries (312 here); the real ones are handstamped, but so are a lot of the forgeries. The genuine should measure 18.5x18mm, hard to do without cheating since the handstamps can be smudged. The genuine overprint color is a bright color nearest to 319 here.
The 5 krans surcharges need comparison against genuine. Genuine are handstamped, not printed like these. The cancel on 322 looks printed, too. These also do not have the distinct "5" of the originals among other points; close, though.
The 1902 local post stamps should be handstamped, not printed like these. The last one might be handstamped, but the stops/periods are not the square diamonds on the genuine.

Pshaan's page 2:
These are all bogus, fantasies made by forgers on stamps that were never surcharged like these. Whose album page is that? Scott also used to list a lot of these (catalog and albums) and then deleted them at some point.

Hy-Brazil Picked up at an auction Unfortunately, per your advice - I will have to assume the rest are fake(forgeries) it's a pity - 70 pages! But I'm happy to just look at the collection someone went to a lot of trouble to catalogue!

Pshann's page 3:
Looks like the scanner went wonky. The unoverprinted kran values are genuine if they are engraved; I can't even tell that.
All the overprints at the bottom are forgeries. |

Pshaan's page 4:
We're out of the classic issues here. The 1939 sheetlets of the first Reza Pahlavi are genuine and are how the issue was released. Slick thick white paper, yes? Imperfs also exist with a slight premium. |

Greetings to this old topic. I have this 1906 Iran stamp pictured below. From what I have been able to find, I think this is genuine (but not holding my breath). It is the one from that set with the highest catalogue value so a prime candidate for counterfeiting. Can someone with more knowledge take a look and give me their opinion? |

Hoping to share a picture of a few stamps I recently came into and seeking any guidance. Hopefully the pictures work as intended - but just in case. There are a group of 8 total stamps and the writing above reads (in short) that these were one of four special sets created in 1914 via the Imperial State Printers of Austria and were created to celebrate the Great Persian Jubilee of 1915. Due to the war, Austria did not deliver and they took 15 years to settle, eventually then reselling the sets (4 sets of 5000 total stamps printed) in a single day. I took a picture of a couple and cannot locate any reference to these stamps. Any insights are welcome and appreciated. |

Interesting to read that 5,000 of each unissued set dumped in the philatelic market is considered a rarity. Quote: I took a picture of a couple and cannot locate any reference to these stamps (Catalog Numbers). I think the reason for that is explained in the article you posted. |
