Hi Rod,

The names are a little confused in C&W but this looks like the image for Feredjik in the Adrianople vilayet, illustration 14, p66 in C&W Part 1.

I think this is from Ferecik (now Feres in Greece).

Review of two recent books about the Ottoman Empire and the Armenians. I actually bought the Talaat Pasha biography, but sadly had to abandon it as unreadable

Rod,

Are the grey-background shots you're posting from your ACDSee replacement? They look really nice and clean, and appear to be a great way to present your stamps to the board.

Hi Postmaster,
thanks for those encouraging words.
Indeed, it was a watershed moment, finally shucking off ACDSee,
It involved having 2 separate softwares, but I am tickled pink.

FREE Plug : One of my most used software, remains PMGS Stampfix, from Germanstamps.net (Free) make a donation though

The "Create a contact sheet" builder, is free, from Fastone.

The "sub-set" software, I have been searching for for 10 years, arrived accidentally with "XYPlorer"
I paid $40, and it's a blast.

It should be noted that several types of overprints exist.
One genuine set below (Gallinos).
1913: Vlastos 1a-4a / Hellas 1a-4a, ÅËË. ÄÉÏÉÊ. ÃÊÉÏÕÌÏÕËÔÆÉÍÁÓ surcharges on Ottoman stamps, complete used set with inverted surcharges, backstamped, F+.

A doubtful 10 surcharge:
