Does a perforation shift like this one, add or deduct the value of the stamp? or just doesn't matter?

That is a very nice misperf codexluminati. My opinion is that misperf's are collectable and are worth more than if it was perforated correctly.

It is all about degrees of perf alignment. A stamp goes from well centred to poorly centred to so badly off centre it becomes collectible.

I guess it depends on how common similar stamps are.

Certainly eye-catching.

I collect coils, and do have some misperfs. It bugs me when someone puts a strip of stamps on ebay with "dramatic' misperforation, and it is off by a millimeter. But when the perfs run smack in the middle, now that is truly dramatic and worth a little.
On an older stamp I believe it is worth more because quality control used to be much stricter in the old days!
