Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting the UN emblem, a peace dove, and breaking chains, designed by French artist Jean Chesnot, engraved by Georges Bétemps, and issued by Niger on November 26, 1975 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the United Nations, Scott No. C259.

Here are images of the two similar stamps in a set depicting a stylized peace dove in flight against a rising moon, symbolizing the freedom won for Ireland by Patriots during the Irish civil war of 1922-1923, designed by Patrick Scott (1921-2014), printed by photogravure, and issued by Ireland on June 1, 1972, Scott Nos. 318 & 319.

The Asian & Pacific Conference of Peace in 1952. With a dove of peace of traditional Chinese design is very interesting to see.

A postal station name to commemorate this important event, which is the first international conference held by the P.R.China after its founding in 1949.

A Peace Dove frequently decorates the Christmas Tree. Snow flakes and holly may also be part of the decorations but this year I wish I could send Australians rain and cooler weather. Hello Idebee, great new additions! (I think the design of the doves in the red Chinese stamps were borrowed from Picasso's drawing. This dove appears several times on the thread (p. 1, 2, 8, 11, 16, 18) and the original can be seen in the Art Institute of Chicago; what do you think?)

Hi, Chris, you are right, no doubt about that. What I was trying to say is that the green one has a traditional Chinese design, it 's still Picasso's peace dove, but has some Chinese flavor, which I found very interesting. I don't know that the original is in Chicago, I heard they are sent back to Spain. Anyway, it 's also great to see peace dove and snowflakes are together on one stamp, these topics are two of my favoites, but I never imagine to see them togher , for me it's a little weird, but since you say peace dove is a common decrotation for Christmas, then it is much easier to understand.

Here is a today's pictorial postmark for you. The peace doves are flying today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to China!

China has a lot of stamps with peace doves, I will post them later for your reference.

The Christmas Peace Dove drawn by a youngster for the British Virgin Islands is carrying a tulip instead of an olive twig, beautifully done.

Madam Song Qingling, Mr. Sun Zhongshan's wife. She is the initiator and hostess and chairwoman of the 1952 peace conference in Beijing. And as you can see the Picasso's dove is in the background, actually it's kinda a mascot, and can be seen everywhere during the conference.
