Hello friends, I am humbly asking for help identifying the imperforate Polska and the 1,000,000 issue. My questions are, is the imperforate a proof stamp and would the 1,000,000 stamp be worth more as the German inflation stamps are being that it's cancelled ? Thank you kindly.
The imperforated ( that look to have been trimed ,, the marge are large enough on this stamp) is not a proof and like the 1M worth nothing. They are easy to find in a catalogue.
Could you tell me what the 1000000 stamp is? I'm a new collector and like large numbers on stamps, but I tried google searching and could not find what the stamp is.
1) The 1,000,000 Mk Postage Due is from 1923, Scott J65, catalogue price 60 cents used. Poland didn't have the rampant daily inflation that Germany had so that there are only two Polish definitives from this period that are worth more used than mint.
"DOPLATA" is the Polish for "To Pay" & is found on all Polish Postage Due stamps
2) This is an Official stamp from 1946. The control number in the bottom right corner, M-01709, identifies this as Scott O25, catalogued at 20 cents used. This was issued both perf (Scott O23) & imperf (Scott O25) cataloguing the same. "ZWYKLA" means regular, all the post-war regular-mail Official stamps were grey/blue whereas the the stamps for registered mail were red/orange
Thank you all for sharing and especially YeaPolska for taking the time to be so thorough in your explanation. I learned some useful information. Cheers!
